Dream House Programs and Services:
Education and Skills Training

At the core of the Dream House mission is the need to train families and communities to care for their medically fragile children at home. To achieve successful transition from hospital to home, Dream House offers interactive learning environments and skills training that address these needs:

     
  1. Family for Keeps® Basic Caregiver Class: Ideal for families and caregivers just beginning to learn the basic level of care for a medically fragile child.  
  2. Family for Keeps® Advanced Skills Workshops: Ideal for families who are ready to learn the skills necessary to care for more advanced care needs. 
  3.  
  4. Family for Keeps® Professional eCourse: Ideal for Social Work and Case Management Professionals, and other non-medical professionals who supervise the care of medically fragile children living in relative placement or foster homes.
  5.  
  6. Community Care Workshop: Coming Spring of 2011, ideal for members of a medically fragile child's community wanting to learn ways build a circle of support.
