Successful Transition from Hospital to Home
Seven-month-old Marques went home last week! Since his birth last winter, this baby boy lived in the hospital neonatal intensive care unit, his parents by his side as much as possible. In early April, he came to Dream House so that his parents would have even more "hands on" practice and skills training from Dream House nurses to learn the complexities of his care. Everything Kendra and David had learned in the hospital "came to life" for them as they adjusted to caring for Marques in a home environment. After 13 days of specialized transition care at Dream House, Marques slept at home for the very first time.
