We take calls every day from desperate families.
Biological, adoptive or foster families, caring for a medically fragile child or children, are elibigle for assistance via the Dream House Family for Keeps™ – Bridging the Gap Program. The child(ren) must be newborn to 19 years old, live in Georgia, and have a diagnosis consistent with the definition of medically fragile.
The home modifications, durable medical equipment, therapies and other health care supplies that insurance doesn’t cover are still unquestionably necessary for a medically fragile child to live safely at home with their family. What happens when the resources dry up, a child has reached his maximum lifetime insurance benefits as a toddler, and his family has no where else to turn?
Because the need is unique to each child’s diagnosis and recommendations from the child’s multidisciplinary clinical team, financial gifts enable Dream House work as a liaison to help families source the best solution to their medically fragile child’s need.
Bridging the Gap is solely funded by private donations and foundation grants.
Dream House sincerely thanks Sawnee EMC Operation Round Up® for funding the needs of two medically fragile children in their service area.
Dream House Family for Keeps™ – Bridging the Gap Program helps obtain equipment and home modifications to provide safe and accessible homes for medically fragile children throughout Georgia – so they can actually live the quality life they deserve in a home setting! Your donation, in whole or in part, will help meet needs as they arise.
We receive calls daily requesting help to fund these items:
$1,000 will fund an assistive device needed for daily care (bath chair, feeder seat, specialized car seat or specialized stroller)
